Terms of Service

Effective date: 31 May 2026

These terms govern access to and use of the ThreatPrevent website, APIs, applications, integrations, intelligence services, and related products.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the ThreatPrevent platform, APIs, website, applications, integrations, dashboards, documentation, reports, artificial intelligence features, and related services ("Services") provided by ThreatPrevent Limited ("ThreatPrevent", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. About ThreatPrevent

ThreatPrevent provides cyber threat intelligence, risk scoring, reputation checking, compromise intelligence, supply chain risk assessment, payment risk prevention, infrastructure risk prevention, and related decision-support services.

ThreatPrevent is a decision-support platform. We do not provide legal advice, financial advice, insurance advice, regulatory certification, guaranteed fraud prevention, or a guarantee that a system, supplier, person, payment, domain, email address, or IP address is safe or unsafe.

3. Nature of Cyber Threat Intelligence

Cyber threat intelligence is inherently incomplete and time-sensitive. Threat data changes quickly, sources may be incomplete, malicious activity may be hidden, and no provider can maintain visibility of all cyber threats, breaches, vulnerabilities, compromises, malicious actors, infrastructure, or fraud activity.

Although ThreatPrevent makes reasonable efforts to verify, validate, correlate, and enrich the information used to provide risk scores and intelligence outputs, the Services may produce information that is incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, unavailable, delayed, or wrong.

You acknowledge and agree that ThreatPrevent cannot and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, or suitability of any risk score, trust score, intelligence output, AI-generated response, report, recommendation, alert, or result.

4. Risk Scores and Outputs

Risk scores, trust scores, classifications, recommendations, AI explanations, and related outputs are informational estimates only. They are based on information available at the time the query is processed and may change without notice.

You must not rely on the Services as the sole basis for any financial, legal, compliance, security, supplier, operational, procurement, payment, or business decision. You remain responsible for your own due diligence, controls, policies, investigations, approvals, and decisions.

5. No Warranty

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThreatPrevent excludes all warranties, representations, conditions, and guarantees, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, merchantability, and security.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ThreatPrevent shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, claim, or expense arising from reliance on incorrect, incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate information provided by the Services.

ThreatPrevent shall not be liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, payment loss, fraud loss, supplier failure, business interruption, data loss, reputational damage, regulatory penalties, consequential loss, indirect loss, special loss, punitive damages, or exemplary damages.

ThreatPrevent's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the fees paid by the customer to ThreatPrevent during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services is lawful, proportionate, authorised, and appropriate. You are responsible for protecting API keys, securing your systems, validating results where appropriate, and ensuring that integrations are properly tested before being used in production workflows.

You must not use ThreatPrevent as the only control for critical payment, supplier, financial, security, compliance, or operational decisions.

8. API Access and Credentials

API keys and credentials are confidential. You are responsible for all activity performed using your API keys, whether authorised by you or not. You must notify us immediately if you believe an API key has been lost, leaked, compromised, or misused.

We may suspend, revoke, rotate, restrict, or disable API keys where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, billing protection, legal compliance, or platform reliability.

9. Billing and Payments

Subscription fees, prepaid credits, usage charges, and overage fees are charged in accordance with the pricing applicable to your account or agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, subscriptions renew automatically.

Payments are processed by Stripe. ThreatPrevent does not store full card numbers or payment card security details on its website or application. Stripe manages payment information on our behalf.

You authorise ThreatPrevent and Stripe to collect recurring subscription fees and any applicable usage-based or overage fees. Failure to pay may result in suspension, restriction, or termination of access.

10. Usage Information

We collect usage information to provide, secure, monitor, bill, support, and improve the Services. This may include API usage, endpoint usage, timestamps, response status, account identifiers, billing events, operational logs, abuse indicators, and diagnostic information.

We do not sell your usage information or provide it to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

11. Customer Data and Scan Requests

ThreatPrevent is designed to minimise unnecessary retention of customer scan requests. However, we may retain limited records where required for billing, audit, security, abuse prevention, operational diagnostics, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit any domain, email address, IP address, company name, or other information to the Services.

12. Artificial Intelligence Features

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. AI features are provided to assist interpretation and workflow support, but they must not be treated as professional advice or as a substitute for human review.

13. Acceptable Use

Your use of the Services is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. You must not use the Services for unlawful activity, unauthorised surveillance, harassment, abuse, reverse engineering, excessive scraping, offensive cyber operations, or activity that harms ThreatPrevent, our customers, or third parties.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, misuse the Services, create security or legal risk, exceed permitted usage, or use the Services in a way that may damage the platform or others.

15. Intellectual Property

ThreatPrevent and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, software, APIs, scoring methods, models, documentation, designs, branding, data structures, reports, methodologies, and intellectual property. You receive only a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Services during your subscription or authorised access period.

16. Support

Support is provided by email only at hello@threatprevent.io. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we do not provide guaranteed response times.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services.
